The Ultimate Guide to Preparing for the Full-Time RV Life

Over the course of the next few weeks, I’m going to be sharing the things that I’ve learned and showcasing the things I wish I’d know before I found out the hard way. The Ultimate Guide will hopefully help you on your way. Here’s the outline I’ll be following:

  1. Introduction
  2. Pre-planning
  3. What the heck do I do about mail?
  4. Packing
  5. Your camper: things to know
  6. Dealing with shit on the road
  7. Campgrounds and RV Parks and Parking Lots: What’s the difference?
  8. Campground Amenities: Which ones are important?
  9. Maintenance
  10. Emergencies
  11. Finances: How much money will I save? and other myths, fallacies and outright lies.
  12. Traveling solo or with a mate: Pros and Cons
  13. The Really Important Things

As I complete each section, I’ll link it above.

This is something that you will seriously want to think about for a while. Living in your RV can be super fun, but incredibly challenging. You’ll want to make sure that you’ll willing to pay (mostly emotionally) for the challenges to have the fun but know this life is not for the meek. It’s not for the shy, either. It takes a lot of creativity, a heap-load of patience and the capacity to feel ungrounded at times.
